Welcome

The kind of hotel that feels like home, because it is.

Ala Amid took shape across 2014 and opened its doors in January 2015 — a family project on a quiet lane in Puerto Princesa. We never set out to build a resort. We built something rarer: a place with room to breathe. 4,300 square meters of garden, tall ceilings, wide hallways, morning light. Boutique by feel, family-run by choice.

A multi-year TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Awardee. And still, a decade in, the same family greeting you at the door.

Signature Moments

Five ways to fall for Palawan.

Rooms as Stories

Five rooms. Each its own idea.

From a quiet couple's retreat to a family suite that sleeps fifteen. Every room airy, every bed memory foam, every morning the kitchen open at six.

Sabie Bakes cupcakes at the bakery cafe

The Kitchen & Bakery Cafe

A kitchen at the gate. Breakfast in the garden.

The in-house kitchen opens at six, right by the front lane — run by Sabie and her team. Filipino home cooking, light meals through the day, and a cabinet of fresh-baked Sabie Bakes cupcakes by the door.

For guests of the house, breakfast is available with most rates — brought out to the garden from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM each morning. Same kitchen, same team, all day; including event catering at Andrea next door.

Four Places to Gather

Weddings, birthdays, retreats, held the way a family would.

Four distinct venues on one 4,300 sqm property. From a hundred-and-twenty-guest wedding at Andrea Garden Hall, to an executive seminar at Isabel, to a principal-table dinner at Gabe's Pavilion that opens onto Gabe's Court for the evening.

Plan your gathering

We felt less like hotel guests and more like family dropping in. Ten minutes after arriving, the owner was already asking what we wanted for breakfast.
