Where is Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast located?
Our exact address is at “8 B.M. Road, Barangay San Manuel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines.” We are 1 km away from both the nearest beach (BM Beach) and the largest mall in Palawan (Robinson’s Place Mall). Access to Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast is through BM Road. Tricycles are readily available and pick ups may be arranged at our front desk. Motorcycle rental is also available at our front desk.
Getting to our hotel from the airport is easy — 3 right turns and you’re here! From the airport, head onto Rizal Avenue west-bound (right turn at the exit). At the intersection, turn right onto Puerto Princesa North Road. After 1km, turn right onto B.M. Road. The hotel is 1km down on the left side. How far is your place from the airport? Do you offer airport transfers? How do I arrange my airport pick-up?
Our tested travel time from the airport to Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast is at 10-20 minutes. According to Google Maps, our boutique hotel is approximately 4 km from the airport. We offer our guests complimentary airport transfers for our vans’ standard operating time of 6:00am to 8:00pm, with special trips at Php350.00 per trip. Special trips are subject to availability and may include the following: (1) transfers for non-guests and (2) pick up and drop off schedules outside the standard operating time.

What are your scheduled trips for airport transfers?
Our vans’ standard operating time for airport transfers is from 6:00am to 8:00pm. Special trips may be arranged at Php350.00 per trip.

How can I ensure my booking at Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast?
What is your accommodation cancellation policy?
If booking through Agoda and Expedia, cancelling two weeks prior to your check-in date will entitle guests to a refund (but not all published rates on both channels automatically qualify as they also offer non-refundable reservations). These online channels require full payment upon reservation.
Alternatively, a one night deposit is required for reservations made through our online facility, which may be settled using a debit card, credit card, or bank deposit. The one-night deposit is non-refundable.

Are there smoking and non-smoking rooms?
We are a non-smoking establishment and all our rooms are non-smoking rooms. This policy is implemented within the premises. Smoking can be permitted in designated areas outside.
What is your general policy for children?
Children 12 years old and below, for a maximum of 2 children per room availed, are free-of-charge on their accommodation only. Additional children will be charged the standard additional person rate inclusive of breakfast.
We reserve the right to request for your children’s ID, or any proof of age such as airline ticket, and failure to present will invalidate their complimentary stay.
Do you honor senior citizens a discount?
As a Senior-friendly establishment, we give discounts to the bearer of the identification as mandated by Philippine law. The amount of discount is computed as the “rate per guest” x 20%. “Rate per guest” is calculated as the “total accommodation balance” divided by the number of adults.
Can I bring my pets?
Unfortunately, our establishment does not have the proper facilities to accommodate pets, hence we do not allow pets.
Are your tours managed internally or by a 3rd party service provider? How are your published rates determined?
Our tours are handled by licensed and registered travel agencies in Palawan, which are regulated by city tourism to ensure fair pricing, quality, and traveler protection through insurance. Their published rates are mandated, so travel agencies who quote otherwise are typically unlicensed (colorum) and may not have the proper insurance or training, among others. Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast does not and cannot influence the rates charged by travel agencies on their tours, nor do we promote tours handled by unlicensed tour operators.
Do I need to book my tours now? Can I book upon arrival? What are the requirements?
What are the available payment options for tours?
For pre-booked tours, we will require a 20% deposit through cash, bank deposit, or PayPal* (online). Upon check-in, the settlement of your 80% balance may be done in cash only.
You may also choose to deposit and settle the entire amount due through PayPal*. Deposits and/or settlement of your balances through PayPal* will include a 5% service charge.
*Payments through PayPal are done online using a credit card, debit card, or a PayPal account.
What is your cancellation policy on tours?
Confirmed tours, whether through email, phone, or other channels, are final and will be subject to cancellation charges. Cancellations received on the day of the tour will not be refunded. Only cancellations due to force majeure merit refunds.
Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast is not a tour operator and our role is limited to assisting guests in booking their tours.
What is the earliest/latest pick up times for the tours?
The earliest pick up time is at 6:00am while the latest pick up time depends on the tour. The last pick up time for the Underground River tour and Honda Bay Island Hopping is at 8:00am, with the City Tour as late as 2:00pm.
The actual pick up time is relayed to guests one night before their tours. Guests do not have the option to select a pick up time.
Do you offer discounts to infants and/or senior citizens? How about group discounts?
Children 2 years old and below are free of charge. Senior citizen discounts are limited to their accommodation only. For group discount inquiries, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is the van exclusive to our group?
The quoted published rates do not imply exclusivity. Should you prefer to have a van/boat exclusive to your group, please let us know so we may send you a quotation from the tour operator that is tailored for your group.

- Tampering or improper use of emergency fire signals and alarms is prohibited by law.
- Maintain noise at a minimum in consideration of other guests.
- Bringing in prohibited drugs and paraphernalia are not allowed.
- Hallways must be clear of any personal belongings to avoid any untoward incidents.
- Sabie’s Kitchen and Bakery Cafe will serve breakfast everyday from 6:00am to 9:00am. Should you wish to have your breakfast served at a different time, or have them to go, please inform our wait staff the night before.
- Guests are provided with essentials to make their stay comfortable. Please note our complimentary items:

- Complimentary coffee and tea
- For emergency situations, please call the attention of our on duty staff (housekeeping, security and front desk).
- Public transportation to and from different parts of the city are available 24/7. However, please take caution at all times. You may coordinate with our front desk in case you are in need of transport.
